It’s taken us five months, but we’ve finally managed to hang some pictures over our desk (Heywood-Wakefield, 1961). From left to right, Edward Curtis Apsaroke Indian photogravure (1908); Honore Daumier “Physionomie de l’assemblée” political cartoon (1851); Maxfield Parrish “Air Castles” print (1904); “Squelette Humain” print from Deyrolle in Paris (purchased 2007); German “Konigin der Obstgarten” print, purchased in Oxford in 2002; and a Marcel Dzama print from “The Berlin Years” (2003). Also pictured: handmade quilt by KKK; Thonet-style desk chair; Seymour Chwast’s “The Left-Handed Designer”; John Derian decoupage tray; WWII steel fan; fish stapler; and a red mid-century gooseneck lamp in desperate need of rewiring. Let the writing begin!
